Details
A moderate hike starting at Marske and visiting the Tea garden at Helwith. Starting from Marske we will follow rights of way across the fields before climbing Skelton Moor. There is an opportunity to bag the trig point here before we descend to Helwith for a stop at the tea garden. We will then return along Marske Beck and through Clints Wood on our return to Marske.
Please note this is a FEMALE ONLY event.
Mandatory Kit
- Walking boots and thick socks
- Warm clothing. Jeans should be avoided. A warm base layer and a fleece mid layer is recommended
- Waterproof jacket. Waterproof trousers are recommended but not essential
- Gloves and hat
- Spare top layer in your pack
- Snacks and drinks in an easy to find section of your bag. We recommend bringing at least 500ml of drinks with you
- Fully charged mobile phone
- Any personal medication needed
- A comfortable back pack to carry your own kit. You may wish to consider putting things inside a plastic bag or other waterproof bag inside your back pack
- Money if you wish to visit the café after the walk
